Review: The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches
August 3, 2024
An astoundingly lovely story filled with characters full of depth, humor, and nuance.
The story itself was a beautiful allegory about family, human connection, racism, trauma, and finding a place to fit in as “other.”
I also really appreciated that the story was restrained — no ham fisted plot twists or forced exposition focused on overly fantastical world building. It was a thoroughly grounded book that packaged a seriously heart warming story about love.
